Let's CELEBRATE....

I just noticed that my "hit counter" is at 49,801 visits to my blog! Wow. I am humbled. And thrilled. And very grateful. It makes me happy that so many people have cared enough to stop in and see what my critters and I are up to from time to time.

At the normal rate of 'visits per day', I'm thinking we'll probably go over 50,000 (that's FIFTY-THOUSAND hits) in the next few days.

Want to have a CONTEST???? I'm thinking maybe the 50 thousandth visitor could win a 2008 "Real Sheep Wear Shetland Wool" Calendar.


There's going to have to be some TRUST involved: let's say, starting at visitor number 49,975, everyone starts leaving a comment telling what number visitor they were? There's a window on the right side-bar, right below my profile, that shows how many visits there have been. Just leave a comment, saying what number you were (from 49,975 on) and the 50 thousandth person will win the calendar! Sound like fun?


Let's GO FOR IT! Play honest and be fair. Don't worry ~ the stat counter does NOT count when I visit the blog. To keep one person from just logging on and off a kazillion times, let's say that no one can leave more than 2 comments in a row. In other words, if you were visitor number 49,989 and 49,990, you could not also be number 49,991. If you are, I will adjust the stats so that the next commenter is actually given number 991. Make sense?

I promised sheep pictures but didn't get outside with the camera today. Perhaps this will do....


They're here! The 2008 "REAL Sheep wear SHETLAND wool" Calendars are finally here! It took me forever to select the photos that I wanted to put into next year's calendar. I reused one....because so many people asked for it again!

The calendars are printed in full color, on Kodak paper and each month is a photograph, suitable for framing. They are available for sale for $27.00 (includes shipping).

I will set up an active link to my web site, where there will be thumbnails of each month's page, just as soon as I can get around to getting all the pictures uploaded!
