It's NEVER too cold...

To get outside and take pictures of my CRITTERS!

Isn't she gorgeous?
ELEVEN years old, folks!
Alice is eleven years old.  The lambs she has this year will be her last.  From now on, she'll just be Grandma.

These two girls (Princess & Kiss) are Alice's daughter and Granddaughter.  Both are triplets.  They are still in with Hero but I may try rearranging things when we get the next 'warm spell'.

Speaking of Hero...

He sure is a handsome ram!

He has to check out Sable and Bella when they want to come into Hero's paddock.

Bella says

"That's close enough!"

She is a herding breed, after all.

I've moved my poor, little piglets out to the hay barn.
Don't worry, they snuggle into the bales of hay to stay warm.

I don't shut the door to the hay barn, so they can come out whenever they want.
Needless to say, they're squealing for their breakfast,  at my back door, the first thing every morning!

Even Bella Kitty
(the "outdoor" cat that I adopted who now spends equal amounts of time indoor and outdoors)  doesn't seem phased by the cold.  I'm always surprised when she wants to venture out into the snow.

Mi-Mi Kitty, on the other hand,
MUCH prefers a warm place to spend her time...

You can see close up pictures of the baby chicks on my Chicken Blog.

I have no idea what the heck she's talking about!"

Sharing the spotlight...

O.K.  Maybe they're not exactly "sharing".

But they sure are having fun!

Goofy girls!

With friends like that,  who needs enemies???

The ram lambs are much less demonstrative...

I'll be using Polar Bear (white) and Echo (HST ~ formerly 'Chrome') as breeding rams this year.

Echo will be for sale after he has done his job here!

I may keep Bear (white) around for a while to make sure that I get some white lambs by him.  He's the last I have from his line (Phoebe/White Diamond) so I'll hang onto him until I know for sure I have another one that I want to keep.

I never thought I'd use a white ram but I've liked this guy a LOT since the moment he was born.

Besides which...

BELLA- KITTY likes him!

I was actually planning on this post being about all the soap I've been making, lately.  I wanted to have the sheep "sharing the spotlight" with the soap.  I guess I used up enough space with just the sheep so I'll show you my latest soaps tomorrow!

Have a wonderful week!

Happy Fall!!

Sorry Dreamer!

A new member of the Family ~
A.K.A. "City Cat ~ Country Cat"!

We have been blessed with the care of a wonderful kitty named "Bella"
To avoid confusion with my "Bellamica" ~ whom I often call Bella, I call the kitty "Bella Kitty".

She is a sweetheart!

Bella Kitty came from a family that loved her very much and were SO sad to let her go.  But she had developed a very bad habit of not using her litter box.  The family even took her to the vet to make sure there was no physical problem and tried all sorts of 'remedies' to try to alleviate the problem, but Bella Kitty kept 'marking' in her family's home.  It was with a very heavy heart that the decision was made to rehome Bella.

Bella Kitty came to live with us last Sunday.  She's been staying in a large (8 x 8 foot) pen in my garage, to give her a chance to get used to my other animals.  She's such a mellow girl that she made friends with Sable & Bellamica right away!

My cats still aren't sure what to make of her but they all tolerate each other with no aggression.
Today was the first day that I brought Bella Kitty outside...

She was curious about but respectful of the chickens.

Bella Kitty enjoyed hanging out in the chickens 'hide-away' .

She checked out the whole backyard.

Isn't she beautiful?

She even went out and introduced herself to the sheep!

Bella Kitty is very good about coming to me when I call her.
She loves to be picked up and snuggled!

When she finally had enough exploring for one day,

She headed back into the garage,
All.  By.  Herself!

;-)

What a good kitty!

"We;come to the Bluff Country, Bella Kitty.
Now, who broke my swing???"
