Shetland sheep have changed my life and touched my heart. They have brought me joy, adventure and serenity. Follow along as I live each day influenced by memories of my mighty flock of mini sheep ~ aided and abetted by "Bellamica", the English Shepherd,"Sable", my livestock guardian dog and "Hero" the rescue dog that stole my heart! You'll also meet many of the homeless dogs that I rescue and rehome as part of Bluff Country Canine Rescue.
And I thought you would have me beat at this blogging addiction!! But then I realized I had one on myspace, facebook AND blogspot. *sigh* I blame it entirely on you this blogspot madness! :)
Zest, Zest, I have the rest! (of your fleece...) And Nancy, I have now finished your Storey's book on raising sheep-thanks for loaning it. The chapter on illnesses was gross and I'm glad they ended it on a more optimistic note with the products chapter--I told Russ I'm not sure I'm up to doing all the gross stuff you have to do when they get sick--flystrike, footrot, prolapse, etc. Yuck. Bunny and kitty illnesses are not quite as gross as sheep illnesses, although one of my cats once had a nickel-sized hole in the side of his neck full of green puss and THAT was GROSS.
