I got a Face Lift!!!

Well, not really "I", as in "me".
More like my Blog.
My Blog got a Face lift!
Do you like it?

My regularly scheduled readers may remember a few weeks ago when I declared winter officially over in the Bluff Country.   Lately, I've been dying a lot of yarn

and roving

and mohair locks into bright, cheery colors.

I am so sick of dull, drab gray and brown that I could scream!
So I decided to change the background of my Blog.  I didn't want to go too  crazy.
It's not like there are flowers blooming or green grass in my peaceful, little valley in SE Minnesota.

At least not YET!    But soon.

DREAM says...

"Oh, I HOPE  it's soon, Mom!
I'm really sick of the drab colors too and some fresh grass would taste mighty good, right about now!"

Don't forget to hop on over to Verde Farm's blog to link up with lots of other FARM FRIEND FRIDAY bloggers!

P.S.  I wish I could get a face lift that easily!

  1. I’m with you Kathy K--I need colorful things to look at now--your fiber is awesome. Love your new background--I put my spring header up early--I just needed a change :)Thanks for sharing with FFF!

  2. The yarn looks beautiful! I'm so ready for spring too:@)

  3. I love the new look. How do you get such wonderful backdrops to your blog?

  4. Oh! I want them all. Please get some into your store soon.
    Really beautiful....

  5. Lovely colors... we really enjoy Dream's comments!

  6. I love the bright colours they are gorgeous. B

  7. I love the new look of your blog. :)
    Have a great weekend! ♥

  8. Very nice and Spring-y! I am soooo very ready for Spring to arrive. And my Tax Refund... I think that would boost my mood as much as a tulip or a robin. Yesterday at Target, I found the most adorable, soft, lamb stuffed animal. I carried it around the store, like a 2 yr old, just beacuse it made me think of last spring and the adorable lambs! (I also brought it home, which made my teen-aged son laugh.)

  9. Thank you Amy. And thank you for hosting FFF! I'm meeting so many nice people and discovering so many wonderful blogs because of it!

Thanks for stopping by HTAPITM! Let's hope Spring gets here this weekend!

Hi Voni ~ I just googled "country blog backgrounds" and got a list of sites that offer them. It's VERY easy ~ just copy the code that they give you and past it into the correct spot on your blog and you have a pretty new blog background! You can usually tell where a blogger got their background by a small corner banner or icon that links back to the background site...

Thank you farmlady! My goal for today is to get them listed in my "Sheep Hugs & Soap Suds" store...(that's one of my goals, anyway. :-)

Thank you, Sheeps & Peeps! I enjoy Dreamers remarks as well. Believe it or not, I often have NO idea what she's going to say!

Thank you so much, Buttons and thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment!

I'm glad you like it Linda. How do you make the little heart? I know how to do it on Facebook but not on Blogger...

  10. Dear Kate,

I think you're due for some SHEEP THERAPY!!! Come on down!

  11. i like the new background very much! im sorry it's still so drab there still.I repeat my invitation to the south... Georia's in bloom already, but while the colors are to your liking, the temps will be in the 80s next month already. time to start priortizing mama, color or climate???

  12. Georgia in MARCH!!!

I've got my front door open today (turned the furnace off, so it wouldn't kick in)

I already miss my BBG SOOOOOOoooooo much!

  13. oh my gosh, that last pic is great!!!

    hopped over from FFF :)

  14. Beautiful colors! Dream certainly does look ready for some nice green grass.

  15. I agree! We need some nice green grass. Bring it on!

  16. I'm thinking that Dream would like you to dye her before she is shorn. That way she could enjoy the bright colors!

  17. I miss you so much too! I may be home sooner than I thought tho, Ill fill you in tomorrow :) And I LOVE the idea of Dream, and the other sheepies running around multi-colored! Can you do that? That could be some awsome publicity too

  18. Awesome colors, my dear - and thank you for the little class in dyeing, that was great fun!!

How is your vertigo doing, are you feeling any better?

I'm with you - can't wait for spring!!

(oh, funny - the word for this post was 'nockit'...)
