Just so you know...

I know that many of you are aware of the fact that I recently had an accident, followed by surgery (which is not to be discussed in public forums, so we'll leave it at that) and have been blessed to be receiving help from family and friends as I am SLOWLY recovering.  I am still in a considerable amount of pain and unable to use my arm for much of anything.  Needless to say, that means that I still need a LOT of help around here.  Of course I am grateful for all the help, but I want you to know that these generous souls are not exactly "suffering" as they labor in the Bluff Country.

Case in point:
my sister, Penny

Penny's staying here to 'help' this weekend.

She still has her PJs on in these pictures.

I admit it.  I'm working the poor girl pretty hard!

Doesn't it make you tired just watching  this girl???

I don't know where she finds the strength...

I'm just so grateful that she's here.

I do believe that the sheep are too...

ALICE says...

"HA!  Two days in a row.  I  got the last comment, two days in a row!  It's only fair too.  It is, after-all, the 10th annual ALICE watch..."

Ooooooh!  Dream's not gonna like this!

Humph! I don't see her suffering the evil eye of Steve the Rooster! LOLOLOL! Just giving you a hard time Nancy! I was out the weekend before, and one roo developed a strange obsession with me, and would follow me around the farm and would lie in wait for me, and then attack my pants. With the fact that my hair is almost the exact color of an MFC, we couldn't decide if he thought I was a giant roo, and therefore a threat; or a really big hen, and he was trying to get my attention! I named him Steve. :)

  5. Now that is really sisterly love! Imagine giving up her own weekend for all that hard work! And it looks like she had no thanks, no attention, no love from the sheepies!

Wish I lived close - I'd love to hug your sheep.

    Keep getting better!

  7. HAHAHAHA!! <-- to Katie in MN's humph about Steve the Rooster. She's absolutely right though, you need pics of that (and yes i know i need to remind carter about the videos.) The pics are great though, I love the one with the sheep resting on her shoulder at the end, and it's definitely another personal best for Alice. I hope the pain stops soon, but I'm glad you're in good spirits with great company. (Thanks aunt penny and my wonderfullest sister Pam!)

Katie - It was the funniest thing... Steve the Rooster wouldn't attack me when your mom was in sight, but as soon as she went indoors, or was on another part of the farm - Wham! He'd throw himself at my leg! We did have fun though, and got a bit done around the farm, but I bet the crew Penny brough was an incredible help! I can only shovel or put up fence for so long.... :)

    Hi Nanc;y,
trying to get ahold of you to plan what help you need this coming weekend and week if any. I was wondering if you would need me Sunday afternoon, April 17 and all day Monday April 18-that would be the easiest for me if it works for you.
Give me a call on my home phone--not long distance anymore!
My but Godiva loves Penny! I am envious!
I just need to get there.
