Shetland sheep have changed my life and touched my heart. They have brought me joy, adventure and serenity. Follow along as I live each day influenced by memories of my mighty flock of mini sheep ~ aided and abetted by "Bellamica", the English Shepherd,"Sable", my livestock guardian dog and "Hero" the rescue dog that stole my heart! You'll also meet many of the homeless dogs that I rescue and rehome as part of Bluff Country Canine Rescue.
Hello Nancy!! I really do love your blog and all the pictures! And today I just wanted to say that it's good advice you've given! But since I don't have a sheep to hug, I'll have to settle for our Wheaten Terrier instead, he's the closest thing I have! Enjoy your weekend!! :-))
Ohhhh.... I want to hug a sheep today! Unfortunately, I seem to have caught some nasty bug I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. I'll just have to satisfy myself with re-reading blog posts and mentally hugging sheep.
Hope you're enjoying the cooler weather in the Bluff Country!!
How about we designate Oct. 30 as National Hug a Sheep Day? See if we could get a bunch of sheep bloggers to join in and spread the word. Yarn shops too! If you are interested, I'll design a button...if Dream will help :-D.
That's a GREAT idea 'CSL'! I think an annual "Hug A Sheep Day" is an absolute necessity! We could even allow hugging wool yarn or an item made of wool for those not blessed enough to have real sheep in their lives...
Dream, of course, would be happy to be the HAS model!
Oh, I don't know.... Sizzle might give Dreamer a run for her money as the HAS model. ;) I'm just kidding, Dreamer. I owe you an extra cookie or 3 when I get down there. I've had my little sheep statue out all weekend trying to feel better. What I really want to do is curl up in the pasture in the sunlight wrapped snug in a blanket and sleep with sheep. Alas, I don't want to risk getting you sick, Nancy. I'm pretty sure it is evil Strep Throat at this point. Even drinking soda and eating pudding hurts right now. Thank god Michael has friends over all weekend. I bought a ton of microwave stuff, and they are set.
