I've entered a "Country Animals" photo contest.
It's through "Living the Country Life" and first prize is Five Hundred Dollars.
Now, THAT would buy a lot of soap-making supplies1
;-)
One can enter up to eight photos.
This is the first one I entered. I tried to tell a little story with my first four pictures.
The contest is decided by VOTES from the public.
Everyone gets one vote, each day.
I'm thinking of entering another photo or two.
Want to help me decide which ones?
The only problem with entering more is that it could potentially split MY votes and lower my chances of winning.
DREAM says...
"Clearly, we need some Sheep photos in this contest!!!"
Any suggestions?
Please follow the link and VOTE.
Remember, you can vote for one, EVERY DAY through Nov. 30. The winner will be decided by the number of votes, so please don't forget me and please share this with YOUR friends!
I like your sheep pictures with a group of them in the fog!
ReplyDeleteThat's one of my all-time favorites as well, Mim. I think I'll probably include that one.
ReplyDeleteI Like the series of photos you posted here. They tell the story of the chicks being encouraged to explore outside the nest. A very nice feeling of cozy warmth shines through. :-D
ReplyDeleteDone!
ReplyDeleteI'll second the sheep in fog pic. I also love the pic you have on your screen saver that is the ewe and lamb eating face to face, not quite touching. I always get a warm fuzzy feeling at that one.
ReplyDeleteKatie, who has crossed the line into insanity
Actually, they are touching, my mistake. I believe it is Dazzle and her mom. You have it tagged under Mother's Day. The only other photo that immediately jumps to mind is the pic of Star with the baby chick sleeping on her back. Granted, there are hundreds of great photos you've taken over the years, but those are the ones that really strike an emotional chord, at least for me.
ReplyDeleteKatie, thinking this move will never end.
Voted. :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck in the competition. Your pictures are delightful.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Star
Nancy, did you read what Tammy write to you on my blog? about bread rising and bread machines?
ReplyDeleteI had to bake some potatoes to get my kitchen warm enough for the bread to rise.
I hope you win the $500! cute pic's
Thank you so much to those of you who have checked out my entries (and hopefully, voted!).
ReplyDeleteDon't forget ~ you can vote EVERY DAY between now and Nov. 30th...
Love those pics!! Im going to go vote as soon as i finish commenting and will try to get some more recruits! I think your pictures of sable in the snow, where it's just a stark white background and her shadow, also are an increadible and very professional looking artistic set. know which one's i mean?
ReplyDeletegood luck!!
Lovely photos. I hope you win. You have lots of nice photos of life on the farm. I just love looking at all of them.
ReplyDeletenaughty secret..... if you close your browser window after voting, then clear your browsing history, you can go back and vote again. Not that I'd ever do such a thing, but...... ;)
ReplyDeleteKatie, who really has a hard time following rules...
