I thought I had finished my very first, needle-felted, SHEEP SOAP. However, now that I've seen the photos, I think I will add eyes and a nose/mouth.
I am, however, pretty pleased with "Bubbles"! She's the first, needle-felted, soap art that I have done and I think she is adorable. There's no "pattern" ~ I just made her up as I went along.
She is 100% natural ~ all Shetland Wool and homemade Goat Milk Soap!
I had so much fun making her.
Once she has her eyes, nose and mouth, Bubbles will be available for purchase in my "Sheep Hugs & Soap Suds" on-line store.
I'm thinkin' I'll price her at $15.00
DREAM says...
"Fifteen dollars for a Shetland Sheep? How embarrassing! What I want to know is how Mom got that soap inside of Bubbles...? "
It was magic, Dreamer.
Pure Magic!
;-)
Darling! I love her. All your own design even better!
ReplyDeleteI would like 2 of them please! One for me and one for my friend.....how soon can you make 2 more?
ReplyDeleteLove them, what a cleaver idea.
Now I know what to do with the 4H kids and a new felting craft
ReplyDeleteI think you used the sheep in your new logo as a model! I predict you're going to be a busy little bee, keeping those stocked in your shop. ;-)
ReplyDeleteVery cute, and such a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Michelle, you're going to be busy making LOTS of "Bubbles"! ;-)
ReplyDeleteVery cool- I would like one!
ReplyDeleteThat's adorable! And I bet is wonderfully scrubby in the shower. I know what Im getting grandma and the mother-in-law this year :)
ReplyDeleteThank you guys! I've started a list for orders. That way first come will be first served!
ReplyDeleteBubbles took me about 3 hours ~ so I guess I'm making $5/hour. ;-) But I'm making it while I'm home, watching TV!!!
Nancy ~ who was supposed to be on her way to Minneapolis but is too afraid to drive at night in the rain.....
Love the last photo of Dream.
ReplyDeleteDiane L./Bloomington,IN.
Very cute!!!
ReplyDeleteWell that is just precious Nancy!! I would buy it and never use it, it's just way to cute to!! :-)
ReplyDeleteTHANKS for your kind thoughts on my dilemma--It helps to have those like you who understand!!
Oh, Nancy! I wish I'd known! I'd have borrowed a car and driven you!
ReplyDeleteI had to postpone the movers until Thursday. Argh. I just want the move done and the house cleaned out before my back gives in. The pain is now coming through the Vicoden and Tramadol, the muscle relaxant, plus the neural blocker (isn't blocking much these days) and the arthritis medicine. Of course, as my ex pointed out, in his unique way of support, "Gee, imagine how much pain you'd be in if you weren't taking all of the prescription grade medicines!" Um, yeah. Thanks for that. You always did know just what to say....
Katie, stuck halfway between MN and WI
Nancy - they are super adorable. I would also like 3 of them - oh - and a calender - are you going to do calenders again? I really miss the Shetland sheep calenders (not that I don't have 30 of them in my back yard - but that doesn't matter).
ReplyDeleteI put you down for three, Tammy. Maybe I will do a Calendar again, now that I have a store. I'll try to put some photos together this week and maybe have a poll as to which ones to use...
ReplyDeleteThank you for being such a loyal friend to Bluff Country Shetlands and A Shepherd's Voice!
