Destiny's triplets

The humidity levels have been ridiculously high (93 percent as I write this) in the Bluff Country.  Which makes for miserable days and foggy nights.  I got up this morning just in time to catch a few photos of the sheep before the fog lifted.

Tumbleweed reminds me very much of "Skittles".

Chance and Serendipity stay pretty close together now that Charm  has gone off to her new home.

I even held down a branch so the ewes and lambs could have a treat.

Alice wasn't too thrilled with having to share.

By 8:30, the fog was lifting...

Most of the girls went back to the coolness of the barn.

  Leaving me out there to swelter.

DREAM says...

Takin' her own, sweet Time...

Someone is not cooperating.

I'm  even beginning to question if she's really even pregnant!

Maybe she's just FAT!

I don't understand what's taking Dream so long to have her babies.

I put Zorro in with all the girls at the end of January.  Everyone has lambed except Dream and Flash  Dance.  Flash Dance was a ewe lamb so I expected that she might be a bit behind the other girls but Dream hasn't even started bagging up!

And she has no ribs or backbone!

Even Flash Dance has a little bag...

DREAM says...

"Don't get your undies in a bundle, Mom.

I'm cookin' up something special..."

"And you think I'm fat!?"

Yes, our little Flash Dance is actually beginning to LOOK pregnant.  I hope she doesn't lamb when it's a thousand degrees and humid.

Or thunderstorms!

poor Dazzle is distraught...

They're all going to the same home.  That makes me happy.  They'll have each other as friendly faces in their new flock.  They won't be far away ~ within a half-hour's drive!  Lord knows I need the money!

So why do I feel so sad?

Growing Like Weeds...

continues to score a 10 on the "Cuteness Factor Scale".

These photos were taken on July, 1 so you know that the lambs have already changed.  I just can't keep up with how fast they are growing! 

I think Zaria's twin HST ewe lambs may just be off the chart!

The young lambs are getting more independent and venturing out from under their mothers' watchful eyes to play more and more the past week.

I have GOT to get my website updated with photos of ALL of the lambs and start advertising those that are available for sale.   I have quite a few babies that aren't even on the website yet.

Busy, busy, busy...

Success!

We did it!  We found the perfect wedding dress for my Beautiful Baby Girl!

Katie O.K.'d me posting this photo because it doesn't actually show the dress ~ which is, by the way, absolutely stunning!  It is very simple, elegant, graceful, unexpected and fun!  Katie tried on SO many gorgeous dresses and looked beautiful in them all.  Every time she'd step out of the fitting room, Pam and I would just OOOOO   and Ahhhhh.  But the dress she chose was somehow different.  Not that we weren't OOOOOOing and Ahhhhhhing...we were.  But Katie was different in this dress.  She smiled.  She moved.  She looked happy!  In the other (many fancier) dresses, Katie posed.  She looked stunning.  And posed.  In the dress she chose, Katie played!  She twisted and turned and  walked and spun and said:  I want a dress that I can have FUN in at my reception (which will be in New Orleans ~ with plans to hit Bourbon Street!).  She wanted a dress that will let her move and this one does it.  It just flows.    It is both simple and elegant, yet it has an air of innocence and playfulness about it.  A perfect "Beautiful Baby Girl" dress...

Life is good!
