Shetland sheep have changed my life and touched my heart. They have brought me joy, adventure and serenity. Follow along as I live each day influenced by memories of my mighty flock of mini sheep ~ aided and abetted by "Bellamica", the English Shepherd,"Sable", my livestock guardian dog and "Hero" the rescue dog that stole my heart! You'll also meet many of the homeless dogs that I rescue and rehome as part of Bluff Country Canine Rescue.

On the Mend...
This cat cracks me up!
Lily has her own, very effective way of letting me know when she wants to come in the house! It just sleighs me when I walk into my kitchen and find her hanging from the screen...
As you know, I was a pretty sick puppy for the past week. I've finally turned the corner and appear to be 'on the mend' now. The remaining symptoms are pretty much just a bad cold ~ at least no more severe aches and pains! Of course, I need to get outside and start working now. We'll see about those aches and pains! ;-)
Speaking of fever and aches & pains: I must have been in a drug induced STUPOR when I booked my flight to California! That weekend is my only time off prior to lambing! My girls are due to start having their babies on May 5th!!!
Someone just shoot me...
ALICE says:
"Things sure are different around here when I'm not going to have any babies!"
I love it when lilly does that too. Im sure your sheepies will be safe for a few days, they know they're mom needs a vacation sometimes too! I can't wait to see you :)
I can check on them Saturday May 2, feed them, and let you know how they are doing if you want. Are you arriving back on the 3rd or the 4th? They'll probably be just fine. You relax and have a good time-you deserve a break with you BBG. Let me know if I can pick up anything for the moms and lambs this weekend. I could give it to you at work next week. Erica is expecting boar goat KIDS that same weekend you are in CA and her husband will be far away, so she's a little nervous. Russ is going to help her.
They look so ready...of course, I've thought mine look ready for over a month. Can't wait to see your new babies! Were you able to book a seat for Dreamer as well? I can't imagine you going anywhere without The Dreamer.
everybody appears to be OK, sure glad you are on the mend Nancy.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're feeling a little better, relax and have a great time in Calif.!

ReplyDeleteWell now seems like the perfect time to vacation and rest up prior to lambing then. I'm glad you're doing better. Enjoy your time away.
