Big Sister, who has stayed VERY close to Zodiak throughout the whole ordeal offered her assistance...
Having babies is hard work! Zodiak takes a snack...
Lamb number one is working hard too! She needs a snack as well....
It's another GIRL!!!!
I dipped the babies cords in iodine; gave Zodiak some de-wormer and water with molasses in it and tucked them safely into a jug with lots of fresh hay for the night.
I'll catch you up with Dream and Alice later today.... ;-)
Yaay,
ReplyDeleteYou finally got to pull a lamb. I'm so proud of you.
Catchin' up with Dream????????? I just love lambing pictures and stories!
ReplyDeleteAh, but, Mary Ellen, at least I still haven't had to "go in"! (knock on wood!!!)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're still following along, Nancy J. Do you still want Zaria's fleece? If not, I'll be MORE than happy to keep it. It. Is. EXQUISITE. And SHAELA!!!!!!
That Zodiak is a keeper! Any ewe that produces more ewes is just fine with me!
ReplyDeleteOur Lacey is almost at full term...we should have Skit's first AZ lambs soon! :)
Kathy: I'll have to run quick and check your site. I didn't know you were due to have any just yet (oh wait...what day is this? I've lost all track of time with lambing here). Awesome pics, as usual Nancy. I can't wait to see your 2008 calendar! I call dibbs on the first one.
