Shetland sheep have changed my life and touched my heart. They have brought me joy, adventure and serenity. Follow along as I live each day influenced by memories of my mighty flock of mini sheep ~ aided and abetted by "Bellamica", the English Shepherd,"Sable", my livestock guardian dog and "Hero" the rescue dog that stole my heart! You'll also meet many of the homeless dogs that I rescue and rehome as part of Bluff Country Canine Rescue.

Silly Boys....
* as always, click on any image to bigify *
Spring MUST be in the air ~ my rams are Nuts! They are chasing each other around, mounting each other and butting the Ghee-whilikers out of each other!
I have to get out there and trim hooves on the big galoots! Bling seems to be the instigator most of the time. He loves tormenting the big guys.
"Who, ME???"
Yes, You!!
"But we're Buddies!" MASQUERADE says...
"Mom's gonna pick the Burdock out of my fleece today and give ME a pedicure!"
I just love your photos Nancy - they're always great.
I was thinking about that burdock - I had a Japanese dinner with friends and they served "tampura" which was a batter covered deep fried root. It was delicious and so I asked what the root was. I bet you can guess.... burdock!!!
gorgeous, I love checking in here, makes my day.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures. Rams can be so silly. Bling is adorable. I hope you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Masquerade got to the beauty shop today!
ReplyDeleteWow those boyz are something else!!
Terry
But oh, do they have gorgeous horns! They are majestic!

They're really lovely, Nancy. I love it when they stick out one front leg to make some sort of statement!
ReplyDeleteTheir legs look so dainty when you consider all the woolly fluff that sticks out all over! I've started looking bag at some of your older posts...
