It was a Nice Morning in the Bluff Country...

I sat with the sheep for a while.

I picked up poop in the backyard and fed & watered all the animals.

Now, it's time to get ready for work.

I'm still thinking about getting a couple of Alpaca geldings...

DREAM says...

Tomorrow, Mom will share some pictures that she took of my beautiful daughter, Kat Nap! Don't worry about Mom ~ I'm giving her lots of hugs..."

  1. Nancy, remember the angoras? Beautiful, great fiber, but they added to your feed bill and work load. Are you SURE you want to add more fiber animals? REALLY sure?

  2. Oh ....I was just going to post the same thing as Michelle...oh if we could give all of them homes...I'd have chickens, llamas, maybe a horse....Icelandic sheep...., milking goat, cashmere goats....on and on and on......maybe you can visit someone with Alpaccas and get your Alpacca hugs....or maybe you can trade fleece with them too.

  3. I'm glad you had a good day. I'm actually not an alpaca fan, the sheep are enough for me, but then I don't do anything like spinning.

  4. Hmmm...a chicken passes, and alpacas appear....Take a deep breath, hug the sheep and play with Bella. It will pass...

Nancy, I'm so sorry about Madonna. I know she was a special chicken.

  6. We don't have alpacas for all the reasons you have already mentioned, plus my husband is dead set against all camelids having been spat upon by a llama. But, darn it, I really wanted a vicarious alpaca experience through your blog :-)!

If, however, you believe in reincarnation, maybe we can get alpacas in our next life!

    happy shepherding!
