Shetland sheep have changed my life and touched my heart. They have brought me joy, adventure and serenity. Follow along as I live each day influenced by memories of my mighty flock of mini sheep ~ aided and abetted by "Bellamica", the English Shepherd,"Sable", my livestock guardian dog and "Hero" the rescue dog that stole my heart! You'll also meet many of the homeless dogs that I rescue and rehome as part of Bluff Country Canine Rescue.

Thousands of Miles, My BBG, Three Days, Four Lambs, a Dead Car and a Ewe in Labor...
;-)
Oh yes, I almost forgot ~ my camera batteries died....
Oh Nancy they're super! Look at those spots!! I saw on Katie's Facebook that you had a nice weekend. Hope you're feeling refreshed and ready for the lambing onslaught!
Looks like the last photo of the two lambs could be a fashion spread with the title: What lambs are wearing this season. The brown background was artfully chosen as the perfect shade to harmonize with color palette of the lambs' wool. ;-) Diane L./Bloomington,IN.
Those lambs are so cute! Most of my Shetland lambs this year are plain old black krunet. I have one cute fellow with interesting markings, but I don't know what the marking is called. :-(
5 of the 6 ewes that I bred this year are solid color (but carry HST) so I'm expecting my fair share of black (or brown) with "a splash of white on the head".
Thank you, everyone, for the wonderful welcome to the first 2009 lambs in the Bluff Country!
Congrats! Gorgeous!
