If wishes were horses...
...Beggars would ride.

That was one of my Grandma's favorite sayings.
I had horses.
Arabians!
I loved them very much.

But that time has passed.
Now I have sheep.
And chickens.

If I weren't so poor
I'd keep this ewe lamb:

But I am poor.
Financially, anyway.
I'm rich in SO many ways!

DREAM says...

"Don't worry, Mom.  We'll make more..."

  1. Dream must be worth a couple of million! I love that lamb's back socks! We don't have any money here either but we are rich in animal friends!

  4. What a great little HST lamb! It's good that you HAVE to sell your lambs, otherwise you'd have too many and would be stressed with all the upkeep, and no one else would get to enjoy your wonderful flock. You're spreadin the love! ;) PS- I love that quote, it's so nice to hear something from my great grandma, I'd like to hear more :)

  5. It is always hard to part with an animal. I hope she goes to a good home. Dream has such a very wise face!

Did Dream ever lamb or does she need to go on a diet?

  7. I'm afraid Dream was a bit on the chunky side this Spring and summer... ;-)

She still has no udder so apparently she is not going to give me any babies this year. I didn't put the ram in with her until February and apparently, she's done cycling before then. Either that or she just wasn't into the 'half-brother'- thing!
