I think she looks SO much like her dam...
I can see it in the way she carries herself.

I thought her fleece was going to be Shaela but it's apparent now that she's actually Emsket (Dusky, bluish grey). I'll finish this post, later today. I want to see who knows who this lovely ewe is. She is bred to Hunter for late-April lambs...
She looks like the sheep at the top of your "boring" post (which was definitely not boring!), or is that Hunter?

ReplyDeleteI don't know who she is, but she's lovely. I'll watch for the answer! What I would also like to know is where all the definitions are for the colors, like Emsket and Shaela and such. Do they also apply to Icelandics with the same colors? I have so much yet to learn...

Even with all of that though, it can be tricky. I have a 2 year old ewe who I'm not sure about. She's either Iset or Shaela. She'll be sheared tomorrow, and I can poke through her fleece some more. If anyone out there visits my blog, she's on my recent post. Feel free to venture an opinion. :)
