Shetland sheep have changed my life and touched my heart. They have brought me joy, adventure and serenity. Follow along as I live each day influenced by memories of my mighty flock of mini sheep ~ aided and abetted by "Bellamica", the English Shepherd,"Sable", my livestock guardian dog and "Hero" the rescue dog that stole my heart! You'll also meet many of the homeless dogs that I rescue and rehome as part of Bluff Country Canine Rescue.

I Might Have Forgotten To Mention...
Oh yeah...
A big branch fell down on my fence, a couple of weeks ago. The rams were delighted!
I managed to get it cleaned up (with a little help from the "boys") and peace, once again, reigns in the ram pasture.
Hunter says: ..."Mom's got to go build a chicken house now...."
Very handsome! I love your blog list and thanks for putting me on. I have to take the time to figure out how to add a blog list at some point. Yours will save me a lot of time checking if there are new posts, lol. Thanks!
See......the boys can do more than one thing. Look how they helped you. My boys are always willing to help with anything that I have to do in their pasture. That beautiful tall grass looks like a dreamscape to me.
I know there are shepherds who read your blog, Nancy, and already know the answer to my question( as you will, also) and are probably laughing to themselves. Are the rams co-existing together peacefully because they are young? Or do they in fact fight sometimes--the head butting, etc.? I've read that rams can fatally injure each other when fighting. Is it just during the mating season that it's a problem? Ok, too many questions, eh? It shows that I am indeed quite uninformed.:-) Diane/Bloomington,IN, where we have had a reprieve from that nasty muggy weather.
You do have a lot of handsome boys. I am sure they were willing to help with that tree removal.

Good thing the branch treat kept them busy so they didn't notice what the fence was like...
