Mr. Toad and Alice...

Meet Mr. Toad.

Mr. Toad lives along the wall, by the little barn in my back yard. Amongst what is left of my flowers.

I like Mr. Toad because he eats bugs. Bugs that could harm my flowers.

Maybe, if he eats enough bugs, Mr. Toad will get big enough to eat SHEEP that hurt my flowers...

Alice looked sad this morning. She was standing by the fence, all by herself, looking longingly into the pasture and paddock that I used to keep the girls in.

So, I shut the boys into the other half and opened the gate so that Alice and the other girls are now in the "old" ewe paddock.

Alice looks happier.

  2. Oo, what a handsome fellow Mr. Toad is! I hope he is as useful as he is decorative...

I like your Mr. Toad - reminds me of my teen years in Florida, when we discovered a huge squishy toad sitting in the dog's dinner dish outside in the pen. After that first morning, our Mr. Toad appeared there most days, finishing the dog food Fritz left! Fritz never bothered the toad - if I remember right, we named the toad Sam.
