Ewes in the Morning Mist...

I was feeling rather lazy this morning but then noticed that it was foggy out and the fog was just beginning to lift. My favorite time for taking pictures!

The ewes and lambs were all still hanging around the barn so I walked out into the pasture to lure them into prettier surroundings.

What a nice way to start the day!

DREAM says...

"Unfortunately, Mom's not feeling so well, as the day wears on. She's hoping you all have a wonderful 4th of July weekend, anyway!!"

  6. Please get better soon! You've had a rough time lately. Thank you for getting out to the pasture, though - I love the photos. You're like the Pied Piper with the sheep following you everywhere!

  7. Hi Nancy, I hope you get to feeling better soon! I do so love your fog pics, and I didn't realize either you had kept so many Shetlands. It was lovely seeing them all.

  8. Alas, I DO have "SO" many Shetlands. That's why so many are leaving this summer. It will be heartbreaking to say good-bye to so many Dear Friends at once but I need to cut back in order to afford and enjoy the group that I will keep. I will only be breeding 2 or 3 ewes each year in the future.

I've already got BIG plans for Alice next fall...

  9. I just think it's so interesting, and neat, that in all of your big-group pictures, almost all of the sheep always have their attention on you. Now, I've met these sheepies, and cookies alone don't seem to demand their attention while you're just walking around for a prolonged time... I think they must love their shepherdess very much :)
