The weatherman promised sunshine and warm temperatures.
Perfect weather for finally shearing my Shetland sheep!

I do believe the girls will be quite happy to give up their lovely locks

Or what's left of them...

"Wake me when it's over..."

  1. Those will be some big awesome fleeces! Can't wait to see!

  2. Beautiful, beautiful sheep!

  3. Those are some amazing looking fleeces! I bet the girls will be relieved to get their summer do's :)

  4. Looking forward to seeing more of the shearing. That reminds me 0 - I must get my two fleeces washed. Any hints or tips would be appreciated?
    Blessings, Star

  5. Did you get the thunderstorms that came through the cities Saturday morning? I got rained out that the Art Festival.

  6. Wow they really have gotten fluffy!

  7. There wasn't any rain predicted but I was a little nervous when dark clouds started building up while we were waiting for the shearer to arrive. Fortunately, the rain passed us by and the sun came back out for a sunny (and hot!) shearing day.

They're not fluffy ANY MORE, Katie! ;-)

Star ~ perhaps I'll do a post on skirting and washing my fleeces...

  8. The girls are doing a great job - and YOU are amazing, getting out for shearing this hot and muggy weekend!!

I love all the baby pictures... thanks!!
