Just Because He Makes Me SMILE...

For Linda and Pete
go ahead ~ click to biggify!

"Aw, shucks Maam! It isn't easy being so darn Cute!"

"So, I'll just keep practicing so that Pete guy, out in Pennsylvania, likes me (even though I've got spots!) when they come get me and my mom to take us to our new home."

It won't be long now and my handsom "ZORRO" will be leaving for his new home in Pennsylvania! He won't be lonely though because he'll be accompanied by his mom, "ZODIAK" and "BLUFF COUNTRY ZEST", along with Zest's handsome son, "RAZZLE". I know that these four are going to a loving home and that I'll see them again sometime! Linda and Pete have bought sheep from me a number of times and have become VERY Dear Friends.

Speaking of Dear Friends and moving out East:
It seems that I have a buyer for all of the ewes (and BLING!) that I'm willing to part with. We are in the process of arranging transportation but all of my ewes that are for sale, as well as several of my ewe lambs, will be moving to the North East! (don't worry ~ I checked him out! He's legit and the sheep will be going to a wonderful home!)

Talk about mixed emotions! On the one hand, it is a huge relief to know that I've found a good home for my beloved friends. And a blessing that they'll all be going together!! But, can you imagine the day that they all LEAVE???

DREAM says:

"Don't worry Mom. I'll stay here with you!"

I'm counting on that, Dreamer!

  2. Oh Nancy Congrats! Make sure that guy in the NE knows that there are admirers of your sheep back this way and are good potential customers of future lamb crops...hint, hint. I still need some more modified.

  4. Congratulations on the sales Nancy! It's hard to part with our special girls, but we know it's best for them (and us!) and that's what counts.

  5. Congrats Nancy! That's awesome, now find me this guys' twin that wants sheep too...maybe a triplet, and I'm sure all of us in MN can pitch in! LOL So awesome though, I'm very happy for you :)

  6. Having gone through a major shift in my tiny flock last year, I can relate a bit to how hard this is. But after you dry your eyes for the last time, it DOES get easier!

  7. BTW, there is no longer a box I can check to have follow-up comments emailed to me. Any way to reinstate that?

I have to agree with Joanna/BooneDocksWilcox. I'll miss reading about the sheep that are leaving. It has to be a good feeling knowing that they are all going to good shepherds who will continue to take good care of them and love them like you do, Nancy. I'm guessing these shepherds are most likely going to keep in touch with you to let you know how they're all doing.

  13. Oh, I'm so glad they'll all be going together! This is the best way this could have possibly worked out for you I think! I'm also sad for you to see them go, but, since Im ever the optimist, just think how much new-lamb room this makes for when the time is right again :) And in the mean time, I know your most-favoritest girls, will relish all the extra time with their Mom. Congratulations, mom :)

  14. It must be hard to see them go but, as you said, you already know they are going to a good home...and staying together! And you'll have more love to share with the ones who stay.

Congratulations on finding good homes for your sheep. It will be a little sad when they all leave, but I think you will also feel that a burden has been lifted, and you will really be able to enjoy the sheep you have kept.

  16. Congratulations Nancy. I sure know how you feel - I must now reduce my flock by half in order to make our move to the east coast a bit easier.
I wish I lived in the States - I really wanted Flash Flood (see how good I am at reducing my flock).

  17. Phew thank goodness they've all got good homes and I'm forced to stop my pie in the sky ideas of flying the little beauties over here ;o) It is always hard seeing animals leave your care, but we can't keep them all and if we didn't breed them then there wouldn't be any! You still have Dream and the rest of her woolly friends xx

  18. It sounds like it was all meant to be, although I am sad to see Zodiak going (Wish I were closer...)
Skit may be moving on himself - to Colorado!
