Shetland sheep have changed my life and touched my heart. They have brought me joy, adventure and serenity. Follow along as I live each day influenced by memories of my mighty flock of mini sheep ~ aided and abetted by "Bellamica", the English Shepherd,"Sable", my livestock guardian dog and "Hero" the rescue dog that stole my heart! You'll also meet many of the homeless dogs that I rescue and rehome as part of Bluff Country Canine Rescue.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BELLAMICA!!!
Although I wasn't aware of it at the time, one year ago today, my beautiful "Bellamica" was born. Her name means 'beautiful friend', in Italian, and it couldn't be more appropriate!
I'll share a few glimpses of our first year together...
Congratulations on the 1st birthday Bellamica. Our first ES just turned a year in February, and we celebrated by getting a second one. They sure do move right in and become a very important part of a person's life. Have a extra bisquit!
Happy Birthday to sweet Belleamica!! Great year's review of photos, too. Looking forward to helping shear on Friday but let's touch base before I start for your place. What was the time?
Bella thanks you all for the good wishes! She has definitely earned her place in my home and in my heart. We plan on 'growing old' together...
Terry ~ I was so glad to hear from you! I had just assumed you wouldn't be able to help with shearing this week, since you had taken off work to help Last week. (shearer canceled at the last minute). I'll get in touch with you and update you on time. Thank You!!
Another beautiful post. Lil celebrated her 9th birthday while Simon was home. Party and all. What an absolute delight our little furry friends bring our hearts. God Bless you and Bella
I can't believe she's already a year old! Our little girl is all grown up (sob);-)
ReplyDeleteShe's a beauty. I'm not sure which one of you got the better end of the deal so I'll just say it's a win-win situation.
What does Dream say about Bellamica? I still love you more and always will

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely idea lining up her first year like that.
ReplyDeleteShe's an absolute stunner. Good job there's an ocean between her and Fox, he does like a pretty face (but the puppies WOULD be stunning ;o)
Fox will be two in a few weeks, maybe I should get his baby photos out too.
Thanks for sharing.
