The Shepherd is sick...

SO tired. It's not from lambing. I haven't even been getting up to make late night barn checks. I think I've got a 'bug'. My tummy is not good and I'm just feeling punky.

Fortunately, the ewes and lambs are all doing well. I just have to get through today and tomorrow at work and I'll have a five day break.

  1. Here is hoping that it is a quick 'bug'. I sure feel for you. I got a really bad one in the middle of lambing season too, and I thought for sure I wasn't going to make it. ;-)
Take care of yourself. How many ewes do you have lambing this year?

  2. I hope you get back to feeling better real soon, Nancy. It's not great to be sick, or hurting, when the wes are lambing. After going through the first batch, I'm really glad I put the younger girls in later with Skit. They'll lamb in the next 10 days, but it's given me a break to recover.
Let's hope this illness passes quickly.

aww, you didn't tell me you were sick on the phone this morning?! What, did I pass it through the phone-connection? That takes some talent! Hope we both feel better tomorrow! Love kt

  4. Oh Nancy, I hope you can safely muddle through until your five-day break, and then I hope you get better fast so you can enjoy time with all your sheep and lambies while you're off!

    Nancy,

Keep resting and you'll be up and around in no time. You are almost half done with lambing now! They are GORGEOUS--I wish I was in a position to buy a ram this year because you have some NICE ones. Zest's boy looks half-grown already. You should name him Goliath, Paul Bunyan, or Zeus!

May health & balance return to you ASAP! Thanks for sharing photos--esp. when you are feeling under the weather.

I am stating for the record that if Dream has a ram lamb this year that he should be named Bluff Country Sandman. That is just my vote thought. Bluff Country Reverie if she has a girl. Bluff Country Illusion would be another good girl's name. But I want a Bluff Country Sandman if she has a ram lamb. Hope you are feeling better soon
