Shetland sheep have changed my life and touched my heart. They have brought me joy, adventure and serenity. Follow along as I live each day influenced by memories of my mighty flock of mini sheep ~ aided and abetted by "Bellamica", the English Shepherd,"Sable", my livestock guardian dog and "Hero" the rescue dog that stole my heart! You'll also meet many of the homeless dogs that I rescue and rehome as part of Bluff Country Canine Rescue.

Zest had a Single...
Just a quick note to let everyone know that Zest had a big, healthy ram lamb, early this morning. Everyone is doing great. I've got to get ready for work but will post more (and photos, of course!) tonight....
how dear your son is...just found your blog thru Rebecca at yellow jacket ridge angoras.I`m loving your pictures, will be visiting soon again as I have my morning coffees...we have angora goats who are wethered.we just sheared,my husband has been learning & does a good job .phylliso from Phyllis`s View
Glad to hear all went well with Zest and her ram lamb! Thanks for letting us know. It will be interesting to see if you get any triplets this year. I am wondering if sheep are like deer and have fewer multiple births if the winter is hard. Deer have this adaptive mechanism where they are actually able to reabsorb their fetuses in hard winters and under adverse conditions--makes some sense, but isn't that wierd?
Very cute pictures. Atleast it will be nice out for the next couple days. I love you much more
ReplyDeleteAhhhh....just loved your son's comment. You're blessed.
